INTRODUCTION TO GLASS PLATING

By Barry Z. Masser

Here are the small panels we use to teach plating. They are perfect introductions to those who have never before done plating. Now you can quickly build striking pictorial windows using the remarkable techniques of Tiffany. Each composition has the visual impact of shadows, reflections, depth and texture. But each one can be completed in a matter of days. And you can easily enlarge the patterns to make bigger windows.

These great little windows are two to three layers deep, so even beginning glass crafters can master them. All five projects come with a full-size set of patterns. A 32-page book includes the following information for each panel:

Detailed step-by-step instructions

Glass recommendations

Students at a recent plating workshop build Atlantic Sentinel, one of the pattern selections offered

in the Introduction to Glass Plating book.

Once the concept of adding pieces to the backside of a primary panel was experienced, the entire

group zipped through the project as if they'd been doing plating for years. Results were outstanding.

More converts to the growing population of platers!
